Eagle Cap Update 9/9/24

Posted Date: 9/09/24 (8:27 PM)

Dear Eagle Cap Families,

We hope this newsletter finds you well and thriving! As a school community, we cherish the opportunity to partner with you in your child's education. Your support and involvement make a significant difference in our students' lives, and we are truly grateful for it.

Important Announcements
  • Attendance Matters: As we emphasize the importance of attendance, we want to remind everyone that consistent attendance is a key predictor of student success. Missing school frequently can lead to challenges such as lower grades and difficulties in keeping up with classwork. In Oregon, if a student misses 10% of the school year—around 2 days each month—they are considered chronically absent. We encourage everyone to help our students attend school every day. Remember, #EveryDayMatters!
  • Yonder Pouches: The Yonder Pouches have arrived! We will distribute them tomorrow. Students are expected to secure their electronic devices, including smartwatches, in these pouches during school hours.
  • Open House: Join us for our Open House on September 25th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Come enjoy ice cream and games with us!
  • Picture Day: Mark your calendars! Picture day is on September 26th. Please visit Barksdale Photo to place your order!

Celebrations from the Week
This week, we witnessed some heartwarming moments as our returning students took the initiative to welcome and assist new students. Thank you for being Positive Friends and making Eagle Cap a warm and inviting place for everyone! Your kindness and support foster a sense of community that we deeply appreciate.

Additional Information
We continue to encourage communication between families and teachers. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Together, we can ensure that every student has the resources and support they need to succeed.

Warm Regards,
Vanessa Haggett
